Big news in the NBA-Pau Gasol was dealt to the Lakers for essentially, some change for the soda machine and a bag of practice basketballs. Since the Lakers are in the Grownups Conference, they really needed to get better in order to hang with Phoenix,Dallas, et al. So once Bynum returns, the Lakers are suddenly the real thing, running Bynum out there with Gasol, Odom, Bryant, and wise old Derek Fisher.
