Game 88: Tickling the Ivories

In the last game before the All Star Break, Boston, led by Commander Kick A$$, Josh Beckett, blanked the Royales on 3 hits, 6-0. Beckett threw a 94 pitch, 9 inning gem, walking no one and striking out 7. The runs were spread up and down the lineup, 6 different Sox knocking in runs. Old friend Bruce Chen took the loss for KC.

The Red Sox begin the All Star Break, and will not take the field until Friday in Toronto.

That, of course, means I'm going to have to find something to blog about.

Sigh.

  1. So much for KC's sunshine! heehee

We did not get the game but watched Josh Hamilton hit his 29th homer in the Home Run Derby. That was a thrill. You have to admire that.
