Just finished reading Jack Weatherford's book about Genghis Khan. Interesting stuff. He mentions that Bin Laden and Saddam used the example of Khan and the Mongols to describe the Americans in derogatory terms.

This, of course, is manifestly untrue. Genghis Khan didnt use torture.

In regards to Steinbrenner ripping ARod, in the immortal words of Larry Bird, "if they don't want him, we'll take him." Even though he plays for the Yankees, he's one hell of a baseball player. Period.
