Adulthood
...is when you realize that Metallica was only 2/3 right. When you realize that it really, truly doesn't matter what you want, and think, and believe, and desire, and long for.
I remember the glory days of Napster... and how Lars Ulrich waged a war against it and ended it. So I wasn't able to get anymore music that the record labels weren't bothering to sell. If music has a Darth Vader, its Ulrich.
Well, you may have noticed that online music won anyway, even if Napster didn't make it.

Probably not your cup of joe, but Rock Sugar is selling CDs, outside of a major label, over the internet, and being spread by word of mouth. The punk dream-Do It Yourself-is now coming true.
You may not like Ulrich's music, and you may resent his wealth, but his point was a fair one-it takes money to make music. Taking music without compensating the makers is stealing-even if the millionaire makers of the music can afford to be stolen from.
I'm going to put on my black leather pants and sing this song out loud right now and dedicate it to you.
