In Seattle last night, Superhero Jon Lester threw 7 1/3 scoreless, the bullpen did NOT cough up the advantage, and Jason (Night of the Living Dead) Varitek staggered out of his grave to post a 2 for 3 night, including a home run, for a 4-0 desperately needed win.
Granted, the Seattle Mariners are woeful, but in a street fight like we have on our hands, we'll take wins, cheap or otherwise.
Dice K takes the hill tonight. What's Japanese for "In the name of all that is good and decent, please throw strikes!"?
