Back to Imagination Station...

Today's Imagination Station Prompt:

"Are you afraid of death?"

Wiseacre, standup comic answer: "I don't know, ask me after I die."

Real answer: I don't know. In a sense, yes, in a sense, not at all. As little joy as I seem to be able to suck out of life, I'd miss it if it were going to be imminently taken from me. I cant shake this feeling that I still have stuff to do.

  2. Ever hear the old joke about the two baseball fans?

Two elderly men, huge baseball fans, spend their days on a park bench, watching the world go by.

The first man says to the second "Do you think there is baseball in heaven?"

The second man says, "Why, yes. I do think there will be baseball in heaven."

The first man replies, "Tell you what-whichever one of us goes first, we will return to tell the other whether or not there is baseball in heaven."

The second man answers, "It's a deal."

Sadly, the second man comes to the bench one Tuesday and the first man never appears. He learns that his longtime friend has passed, and sure enough, that night, his friend appears to him in a dream.

"I have good news and bad news, my friend. The good news is, it turns out, there IS baseball in heaven. The bad news is, you're pitching Friday."
