My boys, San Francisco's own Metallica, bringing the noise, Old School style, from the 1989 tour that still reigns as the most intense experience I have ever had.
I am terrible at that game, too. It's funny because it's packed with music that I adore, and it requires no actual skill-I should be great at it. My son, however, is excellent at it.
Don't think that doesn't burn me up.
Some equally neurotic friends of mine used to lip synch (and guitar sync, and drum sync) this song, once a week, on Wednesday. We'd get all sweaty and fired up, and then we'd realize how pathetic we were and stop.
Imagine my surprise when Guitar Hero comes along, doing essentially the same thing, and makes the inventors multi millionaires.
I read somewhere that Aerosmith made more money this year from Guitar Hero than they did from, y'know, playing guitar.
Funny, I'm not a VERY BIG fan of them. I do love "Nothing Else Matters" as well as "Enter Sandman" and "One" But honestly, that's it.
ReplyDeleteYou should see me play "One" on Guitar Hero. I absolutely suck. :)
