Friday Flash 55: Storm Front

Your friend and mine, Mr. Know It All, hosts the Friday Flash 55 here. My entry this week is called "Storm Front".

It’s going to rain. The air feels heavy, pregnant with violence and trouble.

The sea churns madly, a distant storm promising menace.

She said she’d be right back, just milk, bread and cheese. That’s all.

How long could the checkout line be?

She’ll be back soon. I’m sure of it.

Where would she go, right?

  1. Oh-oh. Sounds like all the trouble isn't coming from Earl.

    Great 55 Michael

    I have EVERY Doors album
I know EXACTLY where I was when I heard the 'supposed" news of Jim's death.

Thanks for playing today, and for all the Maize and Blue Faithful..

  4. Hopefully not washed away by the storm surge. Probably not. I'm sure everyone else is down at the store for last minute supplies, too.

    My 55 is here.

  5. Well hell. Will you let us know if and when she returns for next week's 55? If not, I'll just make up my own ending.

    Love the title.

  7. I hear there can be real traffic jams and scuffles on the bread, milk and cheese aisles. Especially the bread aisle -- people get touchy about getting teh freshest loaves. Fisticuffs ensue.

    She'll be back any second!!

    :)
