Game 149: Are You For Real?

A six inning rally in the third off of old friend Lenny DiNardo would seem to be enough to push a playoff-bound baseball team past the Royales with Cheese, right? Well, you would be wrong, apparently, as last night, in a game that took longer than many novels, Kansas City beat Boston, 12-9. Tim Wakefield was roughed up a bit, pitching 5 innings, but left leading 8-5. The law firm of Delcarmen and Bard finished the shellacking in the sixth, allowing 6 more runs in the sixth, and that, as they say, was that.

  1. Ugh, ugh, ugh! MDC is dead to me. He has been lit up like a christmas tree this month. And now, Paul Byrd is doing his meatball dispenser impersonation.
