Sometimes even a cynic has hope...

It turns out that there are limits to what people will put up with in public.

A protest by the KKK before a University of Mississippi football game was shouted down and humiliated by a much larger crowd of right minded citizens. Free speech in action-go right ahead, bring your idiotic rhetoric into the public square, and you will be treated, by the public, as the pinheads you are. No violence, no hitting, just voices raised against morons.

Good on ya, Ole Miss!

"Rejoice, as we will destroy racism in our lifetime."

  1. Similar incident happened early October here. The YWCA was holding a day long workshop on eliminating racism. Some Neo-Nazi group in MI decided to come protest the class. A whole four of them showed up. Notice went out a day or so before on local community email groups and by word of mouth. The community had over 100 representatives show up and shout down the Neo-Nazis. This was at the YWCA that I go to, where my daughter takes swim lessons.

  2. Good for them, too. We will fight to the death for their right to say it, but we will also use our own rights to tell them they are being bananaheads.

  3. We had an experience with them too. Ours not so good. Some fool at our City Hall decided to rent them a place to gather here in our tiny town of 1,300 people. We were almost out numbered. That thought alone convinced me that racism is alive still. It was very sobering. I am so glad to hear this story!
